Hi all, I am implementing a garbage collection algorithm in Jikes RVM and would like to know answers for these two questions. It seems bit hard to find the answers for these questions. It would be great if someone could answer me these questions. 1. I want to know how to activate the return barriers and let the mutators know that a activation record is about to be popped from the stack. 2. How can I find if an object is pointed by stack root at the time of assignment? Thank you for your response in advance.
