Am I supposed to use Apple's clang rather than the GNU gcc4.7? The code for the bootimage runner hasn't seen much development in the last years so compilation on clang is likely to fail. I can compile the latest Jikes RVM version of the repository on Ubuntu 13.10 with Ubuntu's gcc 4.8.1. > Or maybe the asm __x86_64__ asm code needs fixing? Problems in the bootimage runner code are possible. The Jikes RVM project doesn't have any Mac OS regression machines and relies on community members to make sure that the code works on Mac OS (and provide patches if it doesn't).
