Re: [rvm-research] Unable to produce working build of Jikes - Ubuntu Precise 32 bit

Hi Jonathan,

I build and run Jikes RVM routinely on Ubuntu, as do many others, 
including our nightly regression tests.  I suspect that fewer people 
build on 32-bit platforms these days, but there's no a priori reason why 
it should fail.

Just to double check, I have just built and run Jikes RVM 3.1.3 out of 
the box on both Ubuntu 14.04 and 12.04.3 LTS, both 64-bit.

Basically once you get the right packages installed, this should "just 
work".

Can I just confirm:

- you're building/running an unmodified Jikes RVM ?
- you're running with the default classpath, ie 97.2 ?
