Which version of Jikes RVM are you using? 3.1.3? hg tip? If you're using hg tip, you could try Jikes RVM 3.1.3 which uses an older GNU Classpath version.

This snippet only tells you that the Ant build failed because the program that was executed returned an error code. Please provide more information, e.g. a relevant part of the build log. If you don't know what's relevant, you can open an issue in our bug tracker at https://xtenlang.atlassian.net/browse/RVM (requires registration) and attach the complete build log.

AFAIK the Jikes RVM team doesn't have acess to Mac OS X machines for regression testing. The team relies on the community to be able to support Mac OS X. AFAIK the same applies for the GNU Classpath developers.
