Refreshing HMI on Jira 4.3.4

Hi, 
I got a problem, i don't how to refresh a the value on HMI in a custom field modified by another one (e.g a custom field on a subtask changes the value on a custom field belonging to the Main Task).
How can i do this.
I'm coding in java/xml using plugins.
