my jira.home points to /usr/local/jira/home. I know it's using that path becasue it created a bunch of directories there, but the application is throwing the following error when I hit it with a browser: Configured jira.home '/usr/local/jira' must not be a parent directory of the webapp servlet path '/usr/local/jira/atlassian-jira' . there really needs to be better documentation about which values point where. and it should be relative to the way the tarball unpacks. example: cp the tarball to /opt/jira cd /opt /jira tar -xzvf <tarball> which creates /opt/jira/<tarball directory> create /opt/jira/<tarball directory>/home set jira.home (in the proerties file) to : /opt/jira/<tarball directory>/home set J$JIRA_HOME to -> (i think this is the thing i'm getting wrong, but i wont'know until i actually see this run) -- Post by natepm - online at: http://forums.atlassian.com/thread.jspa?forumID=46&threadID=39475 _______________________________________________ Jira-user mailing list [email protected] To unsubscribe or change your options visit this page: http://lists.atlassian.com/mailman/listinfo/jira-user
