Thanks for your response.

We are thinking about integrating these two tools so that they can do a bi-directional communication. I mean when a defect is created a Mashups during a particular stage in the workflow it should create a JIRA issue. When that JIRA issue is closed, it should alert the Mashups to close the corresponding defect.

Mashups can communicate with external systems using webservices. I am thinking if thats the only way to go for my soltuion.
