Thanks for pointing me to a documentation about User Directories. It helped but please help me to clarify these things:

Active Directory contains usernames, passwords and other details so connecting JIRA to Microsoft Active Directory will enable all the users in the Active Directory to log in to JIRA?

If I go to user browser will I see all the users that are allowed to log in to JIRA from the Active Directory?
