Sorry Nic but I have read things in the net but they just can't help me! JIRA and AD is still killing me! I understand the part that it says "OI, LDAP tell me about this user" but there are still questions left unanswered in my head. Okay, so you go to user directories. Configure Active Directory, LDAP and other stuffs. Test the settings. Synchronize... Question 1: What does synchronize do? Can you connect to AD and use it without synchronizing? After synchronizing I guess the last thing you need to do is to set who's allowed to log in to JIRA from the AD, so here's another question... Question 2: You said that "all the users in the AD, who are in the group jira-users, can log into Jira". How do you set the users in the AD so that they are in the group jira-users? Do you configure it in the administration page of JIRA or somewhere else?
