Thanks for showing your xml configuration.  I like the
layout.

I am currently using the default layout that
example.war had.  I was thinking of moving /action and
/pages under /WEB-INF, leaving everything else at
root.  This makes the presentation/control logic a bit
more secure.  I  would leave /content at root of
application since it is a fairly small part of
application.  Application heavily dynamic.   

I'm a project team of one so it probably doesn't make
much difference, but maybe it makes sense to leave
content  at /app-name level if you are two-man team? 
One concerned with html stuff, the other concerned
with the rest?
