OK, now I know which message you are referring to. FWIW, that form of localization was for localizing content, not for localizing page properties (which is instead supported by the <property locale=""> method I previously described). Regarding an Authentication/Session/User module, I have started a module which is in the CVS: http://cvs.sourceforge.net/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/jpublish/modules/user/ I would like to get a useable User module in as soon as possible, because as it stands right now I end up rewriting it for each project. :-( Take a look at the code above and let me know if you have any thoughts on what can be improved. It's really old, I wasn't aware of existing support for i18n. I'm surprised I didn't notice it, same goes for the DTD's. Should the jpublish.xml in the examples be updated to include the dtd? Can I help any? As far as i18n, I think your solution is good :). As far as the alternate sytax, I think your solution invloves less lines and is great :). >What exactly do you mean by this: This might not be an attractive >option because of the way XML handles certain characters. You're right about UTF-16 and since you've declared it CDATA this is not an issue. Also, I'm working on a Authentication/Session/User module. Basically a Listener that interacts with the user and session objects. Anything of this nature for custom authentication in the works?
