Hello ! The problem of displaying Chinese !

Dear all , 
 Hello ! I am a beginner of JPublish . I am programming OFBIZ which design the layout through JPulish . To want to display some Chinese characters in my webpage , I change the setting in jpublish.xml's <character-encoding-map path="*"> , like follow : 
 
<character-encoding-map path="*">
        <page-encoding>big5</page-encoding>
        <template-encoding>big5</template-encoding>
        <request-encoding>big5</request-encoding>
        <response-encoding>big5</response-encoding>
    </character-encoding-map>
 
 However , the pages still can't display the Chinese characters properly . What futher configurations should I do ? Thank you !
