The alphas of 3.0 are already available (3.0a5 was released last week) 
however it will probably be a little while before the final release.  I 
am in the process of reworking the error handling so that errors are 
easier to spot and deal with, especially configuration errors.  In order 
to do this I had to rewrite the EdenLib configuration package so that I 
could do line-accurate error reporting.  That is done now and I am in 
the process of integrating the changes into JPublish.  Once I have the 
error reporting reworked I will probably start going into beta releases 
and will begin work on new documentation.  Clearly if anyone wants to 
help with this (especially the documentation for 3.x) it would help 
speed up the development process and allow the release to occur sooner.
