Category And Archive Extensions and Jspwiki 2.5

Has anyone tested Category And Archive Extensions with 2.5?
Will it still work with the new default template?
Has it in any way become a part of the new template and if not why?

It seems like a good idea but I am not sure whether to stick with the simple

conceptual category or to go for this advanced version. I'd like to get a
Roadmap like effect where every Category is listed with the pages that
belong to that category.
