JDBCUserDatabase

I am using JDBCUserDatabase, whenever a new user registers the information is
getting updated in 
the users table of the database. My question is whenever the user is
registered he/she becomes
the authenticated user which means there should be a corresponding record in
the roles table that 
displays username(login_name) and authenticated(role) but this is not being
done. Can someone help ?
