The work involved for 2.x is probably not that extensive, though any
solution will likely be ugly in terms of design. I know of no one working
on such a feature, so by all means, give it a go.

This is a planned feature for 3.0, in which a simple design will be
employeed, utilizing the features of the NetBeans platform.
