can't debug a class in application, have 'no thread' message

hi, i wonder if anyone has experienced the trouble I have, I have an application which I can debug but when I get to one particular class it allows me to enter it, but it doesn't highlight any line of code, however it does show a few variables in the watch panel, and the class is visible in the class panel. When I try to step forward a message 'no thread' appears and also there are no line numbers in the method panel after a while jsawt jumps out of the class to the calling class.
