Yep, it looks like a JFC bug to me. I can't search the JavaSoft bugs database as it is down for the night (seems like that happens often), but I am certain it is a file selector bug. If you double-click a directory entry, not only is that directory opened and the contents displayed in the file selector, but the name of the directory also appears in the "File Name" field. Thus, when you click Select, you are in fact selecting a directory that doesn't exist. There are two options: 1. Do nothing because it is a file selector bug and is out of my control (or so I believe). 2. Check if the selection actually exists (and then what?). I vote for 1. You obviously saw the problem and undoubtedly you discovered how to fix it. Eventually the file selector won't make this mistake (one can hope). n On Thu, 2003-02-13 at 08:41, Wilson Jimmy - jiwils wrote: > When selecting a directory it is possible to get the directory listed in the > path name twice. > > If I have C:\temp as a directory that I want in my classpath: > > 1.
