It took 3.5 hours but I managed to uncover a couple of subtle bugs in 
the new expression evaluator. I'll fix those soon. In the meantime, 
please give the nightly build a try. Go to the downloads page

and look for the "2.x nightly binary" link. Try that build and see if 
the problem you observed goes away.
