Folks,
I can't get jswat to start successfully ...

I have the 1.5.0_03-b07 jdk & jre installed on WinXP
SP2. So far as I know, they are functioning
correctly: I can compile and run code without
difficulty.

When I attempt to run my freshly installed JSWAT
(V30),
a tiny popup is displayed, warning "Cannot find
java.exe".

java path data is correctly stored in the registry,
and I have augmented this with appropriate system and
user 'path' environment variables - to no avail.

I monitored the startup of jswat.exe with the filemon
utility and noticed only one oddity:

282	8:09:19 AM	nbexec.exe:2708	OPEN
C:\java\jdk1.5.0_02\jre\bin\

PATH NOT FOUND	Options: Open Directory Access:
All

283	8:09:19 AM	nbexec.exe:2708	OPEN
C:\java\jdk1.5.0_02\bin\

PATH NOT FOUND	Options: Open Directory Access:
All

I don't know if this is fallback behavior or what, but
the paths displayed above do not exist, and the path
strings do not occur in the registry on my system, or
in any 'path' variable.

The only thing unusual about my system is that java is
installed beneath a directory other than "Program
Files".

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

QCR
