Yes, 4.3 uses NB 5.5 and trunk uses 6.1 (or whatever is the latest release by the time of the next JSwat release; looks like it might be 6.5).

Try using this command to build JSwat from the source extracted from the .zip file:

% ant -Dnbjdk.home=/System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home -Dnbplatform.NetBeans_5.5.harness.dir="/Applications/NetBeans/NetBeans 5.5.1.app/Contents/Resources/NetBeans/harness" -Dnetbeans.dest.dir=/Applications/NetBeans/NetBeans\ 5.5.1.app/Contents/Resources/NetBeans build

Just change the paths to match your Java and NetBeans installation and you should be good to go. The 'build' target will create the modules, while 'dist' will create the installer .jar and source .zip files. And 'clean' will remove all of the build artifacts.

Ah, now I see it! I completely missed that, sorry. However, the JSwat  
4.3 compile.html document does say NetBeans 5.5. So if I understand  
you correctly:

for JSwat 4.3 --> compile against NetBeans 5.5
for JSwat trunk --> compile against NetBeans 6.1

Is that right?

Uh oh. That basically defeats the whole purpose of what I'm trying to  
do. Specifically, I'm trying to write a JSwat package description for  
the Fink package manager. That means compiling must be non- 
interactive. If the user has to open up NetBeans, do some stuff, and  
then continue with the build, there's no way to write a package  
description for it.

Is there any way to build JSwat from source without the need for user  
input?
