Was Eclipse running on the same machine you were executing the ANT

Tests run 10x slower in ant than in eclipse.  Following the advice in
these posts:

I have set fork="false" and maxmemory="1000m" in build.xml.

Would there be another explanation for the slowness in ant builds?
