Hi JUnit,
I am just about ready to release a version of the JUnit theories runner in junit.contrib (https://github.com/junit-team/junit.contrib) that is current with the core implementation in 4.11, and supports generics in theory parameter types to address this issue: https://github.com/junit-team/junit/issues/64 .
Snapshots of this and my extension that really wants it, junit-quickcheck (https://github.com/pholser/junit-quickcheck) are currently on the Sonatype Maven repo: https://oss.sonatype.org/content/repositories/snapshots/ . I also have a pull request open against junit.contrib to bring in some POM machinery to enable releases of the contrib'd theories runner: https://github.com/junit-team/junit.contrib/pull/15
Before someone merges the pull req, though, I'd like to talk about what to do for releasing the different contributions to junit.contrib.
My feeling is that it would be best to allow each of the contributions to be built/released/versioned independently. To that end, I'm thinking it would be best to have each of the "modules" in contrib split out into separate repos on GitHub, as Git subtrees (http://blogs.atlassian.com/2013/05/alternatives-to-git-submodule-git-subtree/) -- not to be confused with "submodules".
I have an issue opened on GitHub for further discussion -- https://github.com/junit-team/junit.contrib/issues/16 . I'd appreciate anyone's input on this, especially those of committers. 8^)
Cheers,
Paul Holser
