That is certainly true, but you could say the same for many of the assert f=
unctions. For example, instead of assertNull one could use assertTrue(x =3D=
=3D null) or assertEquals(x, null). The assertNull function looks nicer, of=
 course, but it can be done. In the same vein, an assertEmpty, while not ne=
cessary functionally, would provide the benefit of cleaner looking code, in=
 my opinion.
