I cannot talk for radiojxta or vop2p, but the jxta-wire is dead simply because what it implemented got integrated into the JXTA mainstream years ago. Also, JXTA protocol are not designed for high performance such as stream (XML overheard). JXTA can be used for establishing initial links, but non JXTA streaming protocol should be used in order to get proper throughput (or develop a new pipe protocol that is targetted for performance).
