about install JXTA-C

hi friends:
I am a novice about JXTA-c and I only have few experiences=
 programming in linux, but now I need to develop my project ased=
 on jxta-c-2.1  urgently. However I cann't build its source code=
 successful.( I have followed the introduction several times.) 
 
btw: I don't think the build introduction on website is in detail=
 for a novice.  if you will, please give me a introduction about=
 how to build jxta-c in detail, thanx very much!!!!!

When I make the source code,the error messages as follows:=09

 to `gdbm_store'collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
