Dear JXTA Community Members,
I would like to take this opportunity to share with you the current
state of the JXTA/J2ME CDC binding porting effort.
The following has been accomplished thus far :
* Updated build environment
* Updated build documentation, and dependencies
* Updated tasks and current <http://jxme.jxta.org/currentwork.html>
status
* Core API's committed
o Access
o Discovery
o Document
o Endpoint
o ID
o Membership
o PeerGroup
o Pipe
o Protocol messages, and core advertisements
o Rendezvous
o Resolver
o Service
o Partial util pkg
* Compliant Core implementation committed
o ID (UUID, CBID, etc.)
o Document
o LiteXML
o Protocol messages, and core advertisements
o Minimal PeerGroup, Endpoint (WireBinaryformat), and utility
supporting classes
We are far from being done, and there still remains a long list of tasks
without assignment, which I encourage those who are interested in this
effort to join in whatever capacity possible (reviewer, tester,
