That's great Bob!! Updating the JxtaSearch code base to the current platform release would be a great start. Chatting on MyJXTA I've talked to at least two others who are interested in reviving JXTA Search. Interests include bridging CMS and Jxta Search, implementing custom providers and creating an interface for Jxta Search in MyJxta. If co-ownership of Jxta is possible I'd be happy to join in with Bob and James. -jeff -----Original Message----- From: Bob Way [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Thursday, May 12, 2005 10:46 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [JXTA discuss] JXTA Search Greetings All! I am implementing JXTA Search for a project at my company. http://search.jxta.org/ As a result, I have updated the 3 year old JXTA Search code base to work with the latest (2.3.x) release of the JXTA platform. I was hoping to find a place to check this back in. It only seems fair, as it saved me so much time. My problem is that this project doesn't seem to have an owner for me to contact at the moment. "NOTE: This project is looking for a new project owner. Please post a note to [email protected] if you are interested." Hence, this note... I'm not sure I'm up to being a "project owner". I am willing to contribute what I have. I understand from myJXTA2 chat that several others are interest in the JXTA search project as well. Maybe polo or gonzo would be willing to take over ownership. If anyone has ideas for what I should do next, please let me know.
