Through a relay.

If you are behind a NAT, you should use a relay unless you have port
forwarding. In that case, you will need to publish the public IP address
in your peer advertisement.

I am not sure how well JXTA supports port forwarding scenario if the
host also need to communicate with other JXTA peers behind the same NAT.
