I agree that getting a language neutral version (say using UML/OCL) of
the JXTA API is important and helps to prevent fragmentation. It means
that we need to define a protocol domain rather than a typical
business domain.

The MDA approach is itself interesting, but I am not sure that we have
the tools to create the executables based on the model. Perhaps swig
could help to provide a partial solution. I need to investigate.
