+1, sounds like a good idea. Also, we have a JXTA education committee. [email protected] Please feel agree to join the mailing list. Thanks, -Ray -----Original Message----- From: Daniel B. [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Saturday, September 10, 2005 10:12 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [JXTA discuss] JXTA-Examples project proposal In an effort to clean out the people project, I have created a proposed project at jxta-examples.dev.java.net/ This is injava.net rather than jxta.org for licensing reasons and recommended by Helen Chen to help with our java.net presence. The project will contain code snippets and docs for a wide range of examples. Most of these are from my book and articles I have written over the past few years. Nothing worth a project on their own, but far more than is manageable by inserting into other projects like platform's examples. The idea is to allow anyone to use the examples to learn JXTA or cut/ paste from the examples. The reason for the project to be on java.net instead of JXTA.org is to use a public domain grant of rights or creative commons attribution rights for larger examples. The idea being to reduce any question that cut and paste is allowed and endorsed. Others are free to submit content and developer privileges will be handed out for new code or changes to code. From time to time I'll make a zip of the tree to make it easy to get the whole collection. I'll also make sure to have a good link back to jxta.org to help drive traffic from java.net to jxta.org.
