[JXTA discuss] Why can't I discover other peers?

Hi all. I have a problem in discovering peers.

JXTA works fine when I test my program in a point to point situation, that
is, I can discover another peer on a computer if I connect two computers
directly using a wire. And the discovery is also successful in the intranet
of my lab. But it fails to discover peers when I run two programs on both m=
y
laptop and my classmate's which are connected wirelessly in Ad Hoc mode. By
the way, I've already shut down the firewalls.

So who can tell me what the problem might be?

P.S.  Something worth mentioning: on *one *machine, when I have the firewal=
l
that Windows XP sp2 provides turned on, nothing happens to the firewall
while my program is launching. Actually a dialog is supposed to open to ask
if Windows should block this program's network connection. However, the
other computer behaves just normally.
