Hello Paul

ahh thats not a problem. reduce the remote expired time to 2 min or less when you publish the ContentAdvertisement... thats what i do for my file sharing and it works fine.

if you think about it, the other peers shouldn't really have the ContentAdvertisements of another peer's files .. so by reducing the remote expired time it will solve that ...

good luck

Mouhannad

try it

Hi Mouhannad,
Flushing the advertisment locally will remove it from my cahce but if 10 other peers have searched for content then my advertisement will be in the cache of those 10 remote peers. As long as any peer makes a list request these advertisements will float around the group. When unshared they will lead to failed downloads. There is no way to delete advertisements from another peers cache.
The problem is that ListContentRequest does not actually return the contents of a peers shares list, only the contents of the cache (which may be out of date).
Regards Paul.
