For me, I don't think xml-rpc is the best place to point this guy. What he's outlined should be a simple application. What he's looking for are the steps to: Start JXTA, look for your group, if you're the server and you don't see your group then create/ publish it. Then discover and join the group. Then do the same thing for a pipe advertisement (discover it and create in/out streams) or create/publish it, then discover it. If you're the client then you discover/join the group then discover the pipe and create in/out streams. Now, that said, I am new to JXTA/P2P and am stuck at the part where I'm trying to publish a pipe advertisement in my own group. It publishes ok but I never get a discovery event for my pipe advertisement. I'd like to get my steps correct and then try it from there. Getting into this stuff it's not easy to figure out the states that a server should go through to join a group and publish a socket. And, likewise, the steps a client should go through to join the group and discover the socket. I've got the JXTA in a Nutshell book but I can't tell where it's samples are dated now that we're working with much newer releases of JXTA. The jxta.org tutorials show the syntax of the separate steps but don't make it clear, to me at least, the overall setup/connection flow. Like, do I have to create my own group? If I do then do I have to have a rendezvous running in my group? things like that.. -Mark On Sep 14, 2005, at 3:02 PM, rzo wrote: > Hi, > > take a look at jxta xmlrpc: > http://xmlrpc.jxta.org/doc/usersguide.html > > it is easy to use and will give you the client server function you are > looking for. > > Ron > > 查 杰 wrote: > > >> Hi,everyone, I am writing a simple program using pipe. >> There are two parts in the program:server and client.
