how can i use jxta shell offline?

everytime when i start the jxta shell,it just keep trying to connect with
the www.jxta.org to update. However ,if the shell can't connect to the
web(www.jxta.org
), it just can't work.you know sometimes my pc can't connect to the
internet.

so,i am wondering that wether i can use jxta shell offline.if i could use it
offline,how? Since i'v checked lots of reference and can't solve that
problem.

any suggestion?
