Sending via JxtaSocket sends smaller chunks as time progresses

Below is a listing of what happened. I sent an image of 46588 bytes over a
socket. The chunks were received as follows. First read returned 8192
bytes, the 2nd 16384, the 3rd 13917, and then for the rest of the transfer,
each read only read 68 bytes! Took forever to transfer the image. Does
anyone realize what is going on here.
Everything is in bytes.
