now, if it's p2p-based information systems for grids what you are
actually aiming at, you might want to check some papers on that topic.
from the top of my head, I can suggest you take a look at:

(with regard to the last one above: it is a system that uses a
Tapestry-like p2p substrate to build a distributed hash table used for
index of (web) services in very large SO systems; we even implemented a
prototype and the code should be ready for sharing with public soon -
mind you, it's a research prototype, not anywhere near a
production-quality system)

oh, yeah, and do delve into ACM and IEEE digital libraries yourself: it
would be a shame to reinvent the wheel, wouldn't it...
