Mike, I think we're almost there :-), but I am still having a few issues. I tried this with my default-based project, and then switched to minimal. I deleted the maven.uberjar.main property from build.properties, and did "maven war". In both projects, I get: [jar] Building jar: C:\Users\Shash\Java\workspaces\keelapp\project\target\te mp\keel-minimal-keel-config.jar [java] java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: 2 [java] at KeelUberJar.main(KeelUberJar.java:69) [java] Exception in thread "main" BUILD FAILED File...... A few other issues: - When I ran "maven keel:maven" (which I see exists in plugin.jelly) in my project dir, I get: $ maven keel:maven __ __ | \/ |__ _Apache__ ___ | |\/| / _` \ V / -_) ' \ ~ intelligent projects ~ |_| |_\__,_|\_/\___|_||_| v. 1.0.2 BUILD FAILED Goal "keel:maven" does not exist in this project. Total time: 1 seconds Finished at: Thu Mar 03 10:36:52 CST 2005 - Somewhere, there is a dependency to keel-build-3.0.jar still, since the plugin insists on downloading keel-build-3.0.jar even though the latest in the repo is keel-build-3.01.jar - The project.xml(s) in CVS for keel-build is 3.0 (latest is 3.01?) and for the maven-keel-plugin is 1.2.6 (latest is 1.2.7)....needs a checkin? Shash Morning All: Below please find the merged (automated!) announcement messages for 1.2.7 and the (short-lived) 1.2.6 release of the Maven plugin. As you can see a number of fixes and updates have been made to improve the build system. These fixes are still undergoing extensive tests on several different platforms, so please report any problems! --------------------------- The keel team is pleased to announce the Maven plugin for Keel 1.2.7 release! Changes in this version include: New Features: o Use version 3.1 of tool-maven, which attempts to fix dependency conflicts instead of simply aborting when detecting a conflict. --- 1.2.6 --------- Changes in this version include: New Features: o The creation of the "uberjar" file has been improved considerably by use of a special utility. Rather than un-jarring everything, doing a lot of filesystem work, then jar-ing it all back up, the uberjar is built in one pass, directly from the original jars in the repository. Build time is cut substantially. (For example, locally I can build the "minimal" project in 40 seconds) o The "temp" directory, which used to be right below the project directory is now in "target". This ensures it gets "cleaned" when you do a "maven clean". Far fewer temp files are needed in any case. o You *must* now supply a maven.uberjar.main property for non-webapp projects, and you *must not* supply it for web app projects. This is essentially how the build system can tell the difference. o The bug where logs were created in the Tomcat (or other server) "bin" directory is corrected. Logs for a webapp are now in the WEB-INF/logs directory inside the webapp itself. This fix actually affected a number of modules. o The -Ddebug=true setting (on the Maven command line) will show the details of the KeelConfigTool, KeelMavenTool and KeelUberJar tools as they execute. o The "keel:test" and "keel:tests" goals have had some minor errors corrected. Fixed bugs: o Added xdocs for automated generation of release announcements :-) o Various bugs (such as the one where a war would fail to build properly first time, then build second time around) are fixed. To automatically install the plugin, type the following on a single line: maven plugin:download -DgroupId=keel -DartifactId=maven-keel-plugin -Dversion=1.2.7 For a manual installation, you can download the plugin here: http://keelframework.org/maven,http://ibiblio.org/maven/keel/plugins/maven-keel-plugin-1.2.7.jar Have fun! -The keel team http://keelframework.org/documentation.shtml Keelgroup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.keelframework.com/listinfo.cgi/keelgroup-keelframework.com http://keelframework.org/documentation.shtml Keelgroup mailing list [email protected] http://lists.keelframework.com/listinfo.cgi/keelgroup-keelframework.com
