As it so happens, I checked this into CVS last night.  If you checkout 
tool-maven-plugin from CVS, and do a "maven plugin:install" you should 
get version 1.2.13 of the plugin which will provide better support for 
Axis configuration.  NOTE: 1.2.13 is not ready for general consumption 
yet, use it for Axis, etc.  Please let me know what other things need to 
happen for the Axis integration to work properly, and I'll change those 
accordingly.

I just checked this in and deployed clnt-axis version 1.0.1 into the 
Keel repository.
