According to the ant.properties file in keel-build, we're using 2.1.3.  It's being built from source during the install process, as there was no release bundle available when we put things together. I'm not sure where we got the 2.4.1 from, but I'll dig for it! Must be a typo somewhere, as it should be deriving the version number from ant.properties.

No reason why not, as far as I can see. The interface between Cocoon and Keel is a custom Action, which you can use in any pipeline. It deposits it's results using a Session Generator, but it has no dependancy on the remainder of the pipeline.
