Stefan/Nate,
The problem (at least Nate's) is that the client-timeout is too short while
creating the DB (that's why the second time and on works fine). This is
because in web.xml, the required config. parm. is incorrectly specified as
client-timeout. I fixed this in CVS last week, soi get an update for the
keel-client module. Or in, keel-client/config/client/snippets/web-1.xml, put
the following to set the timeout to 60s (and do a "ant build-all"):

<param-name>keel.client.timeout</param-name>
<param-value>60000</param-value>
</context-param>
Now, Stefan may have additional config. issues...we'll see after this fix
