Sun's 1.5 will have desktop integration (at least for GNOME).

I'm on the expert group for the Tiger JSR.  However Desktop
integration for JWS is an implementation detail, so it's not
covered by this JSR.
OTOH, I'm working closely with Sun these days, a lot of our code
has been integrated into 1.5.
