Problem with applets

Hello,

I run a Debian distribution (woody)
I installed j2sdk1.4.2 without any error message. I can compile my applets,
but when I put it in a web page, I can't view them (I'm trying to view them
with another computer (under XP), because I didn't install a server X on my
system)

When i try to use appletviewer soft, i have an error (missing librairy :
libXp.so.6). And I saw that I have no librairies in
/usr/local/j2sdk1.4.2/jre/lib/i386/applet. Could this be the source of the
problem ?
I'm open to any other idea.
