Availability of the 1.4 JVM for arm-linux

Hello,

I have read that the 1.4 version of the blackdown JVM for Arm-linux
was to be released soon. As it would be very usefull for the project
I'm working on, I would like to know when the official release is
available.
While waiting for it, is it safe to use the current testing version
for developpment ?
