Hello All,

I'm using 64 bit blackdown on gentoo 2.6.9 on amd64 hardware.

The jfc ui's (jEdit, Intellij, Limewire) are all padded with extra space 
all over.  It seems to me mostly below text, but I'm totally sure where 
the extra space is coming from.

I have a screen shot; I can send if anyone wants to see what I'm talking 
about.

Any ideas on how to fix?
