JDK 1.1.8v3 : libzip.so error with glibc-2.3.5

I'm experiencing the following problem while using Blackdown's 
jdk118-v3-glibc-2.1.3.tar.bz2:

/usr/java/jdk118_v3/bin/../lib/i686/green_threads/libzip.so: symbol 
errno, version GLIBC_2.0 not defined in file libc.so.6 with link time 
reference (libzip.so)


I'm running Linux 2.6.15 (Fedora Core 4) with glibc-2.3.5 on a i386 
architecture.

I don't know what the problem really is since the "errno" is not 
returned (due to differences between glibc-2.1.x and glibc-2.3.x I believe).

But would it be possible to have a release of Blackdown's JDK 1.1.8v3 
compiled for glibc-2.3.x ?
