Sparc64 and linux

Hi there, im looking for advise on what to do, im setting up a 
development machine with a sun sparc64 rack i have, i initially was 
putting freebsd on it, as I quite like it, however i hit a wall trying 
to get java on it. There doesnt seem to be a java port for it, im 
wondering if there are ports for sparc64 on debian linux for instance ? 
If there are i guess ill have to reinstall everything and put that on, 
quite annoying really so much for being "cross platform" software ??
