Hello,

allow me to forward Anakreon's comments on Vladimir
Kvassov's Luxor XUL Titan Interview so they don't get
lost.

  Anakreon writes:

I agree with the remark about having two separate
projects for swing and swt. One of the goals of the
alternative architechture I have partly implemented,
is to avoid this situation, and have different
toolkits utilize a common code for common algorithms
and problems.

BSH: Perhaps BeanSell is slower then OGNL, I don't
know. But there are some advantages of BeanShell which
I think most users would be interested on. With
BeanShell, ActionListeners and other classes can be
implemented.
BeanShell in this case is only used as the glue
between UI and Java code so speed should not matter.
However, we could utilize a library from IBM which
provides a common interface for varius scripting
languages for Java.

IDE: An IDE is helpfull, but a difficult task to be
implemented. I guess luxilla (which can reload the GUI
and BeanShell script of the project when a file has
changed) is a good tool for the moment. I'd like to
know what luxor users think of this. Plugins for
popular editors like JEdit and Eclipse could help in
making the process of development in luxor easier and
perhaps make luxor more popular. But the task of
implementing the plugins, should require much effort.

  Any comments on Anakreon's comments?

   - Gerald
