Some comments re. Luxor docs & @ sourceforge

Gerald suggested I post my comments to luxor-users. 

I have a few comments about Luxor at Sourceforge, and about the kinds 
of questions that someone might ask when they are considering whether 
to use Luxor instead of some other XUL tool.

- Sourceforge is missing a note about how to arrange all the available 
  zipfiles into a single, coherent, functioning directory hierarchy.  
  There's a lot of files !!

  Is it as simple as dropping ALL the zipfiles into a single directory, 
  and unzipping _everything_ ?  Or does this create problems ?

- Because Mozilla is the dominant XUL platform, and most XUL docs
  seem to concentrate on Mozilla, the person investigating Luxor 
  might be interested to know whether there is such a thing as XUL 
  portability, and if so, how much is there ?

  For example, "Can I use Luxor XUL files with Mozilla, and vice-versa ?"
  "Can I use that Mozilla tool "XUL Maker" to generate files for Luxor ?"
  "Can I use Mozilla Javascript with Luxor, or Luxor Java with Mozilla ?"
   (I know this last question is complex, the answer would involve XPCOM.)
  "Thinlets seem similar; do they use XUL, or something else entirely ?"
  If it makes no sense to ask this question, then that could be stated too.

- Luxor says it supports both Swing and (to a lesser degree) SWT. But
  clearly, not all GUI's are created equal.  How "well" do the Swing
  objects implement XUL objects ?  Are there any weird side effects 
  to be aware of ?

- How about an overview of drag and drop ?  The tutorial at XULPlanet 
  ( http://www.xulplanet.com/tutorials/xultu/dragdrop.html ) talks 
  about Mozilla & XPCOM, but what about non-Mozilla XUL, like Luxor ?  
  Does D-n-D in Luxor work between Swing objects ?  Between SWT ?  
  And, is there a "standard" "all-XUL" way to do D-n-D ?  If so, 
  does (or will) Luxor implement it ?

Providing answer to these questions, even negative answers, might
help people decide whether to try Luxor, and reduce their learning 
curve when they do try it.
