  No, it doesn't and works out great. Create a root
directory such as sandbox or eldorado or whatever you
want to call it and then unpack everything. You end up
with something like this:

  sandbox
  |-luxor-1.0-b8
  |-rachel-1.0-b2
  |-ramses-1.0-b8
  |-apollo-1.0-b2
  |-...

 and so on.

  I'm not sure if anyone would read it. Again you're
more than welcome to write up a getting started guide
or a newbie trail guide or something similar.

   I have put some answer right on the front page, but
I agree there should be an extremly detailed
diff/interop page that documents what tags and
attributes are supported, which ones are extension and
which ones are missing and so on.

  Some restrictions apply. See above.

  Sure. You might need to polish/fix them up before
using them with Luxor.
